PYRRHUS RAGE
In 2015, the Frankfurt composer and producer RAHEN, has turned to a new area of work. Next to the known 80s projects Axodry, Moskwa TV, Whispering Colours and Robotiko Rejekto, which successfully came into the picture lately and is still making progress, RaHen has concentrated on the work of his new ambient project PYRRHUS RAGE.
With the present album MEGATRONIA, Death Ambient, he combined somber and threatening ambient sound surfaces with floating, but reduced beats. It was important to him not to create an overproduced sound, but instead achieve a reduction of a music that transports a maximum of psychic depth. Due to the use of partly backwards played sound collages combined with hypnotic audio lines, RAHEN developed an apocalyptic music, that invites to an exploration of one's own self.
In any case, the album MEGATRONIA is no sideline stream, but links atmospheric audio landscapes with metal sounds and dark psychedelic voice lines, inducing to a more-in-depth soul journey.
The PYRRHUS RAGE project with the album MEGATRONIA is a recommendation for all music lovers, who are searching for a listening experience apart from the main stream taste. Unusual tonal structures and dark grooves are guaranteed.
The Stanzas of Dzyan
After the first sound experimental Album MEGATRONIA of the project PYRRHUS RAGE was published, now in ….. 2015, the second album called THE STANZAS OF DYZAN will be released.
Here too, RaHen – aka Ralf Henrich – worked mainly with end time sounding beats and immersed himself deep into the matter of esoteric philosophy around the person Helena Blavatsky.
In his second work, the musician and producer marvelously manages to merge hard electronic sequences, industrially pulsed noise with messages from “The book of Dyzan” and a mysterious discourse of the philosopher, thereby creating an ambient and dark overall picture with words out of the cloud, landscapes and evolving pads.
Sometimes subtle, then again confronting in its expression, the look and feel of a mysterious ambient cluster always floats above the whole work.
Helena Petrowna Blavatsky was one of the most colorful personalities of the 19th century. Her exceptional demeanor, her inexhaustible knowledge and her pioneering ideas overwhelmed the spiritual world of her time with wonder, captivated and enriched it and gave impulses that have lasted unabated to the present day. Her pursued objective was to wake the spiritual human intuition and to keep it alive. She contributed significantly to overcoming the downright blind faith in science and the out-of-date dogmatism of the 19th century.
The album THE STANZAS OF DYZAN of the PYRRHUS RAGE project interprets those esoteric philosophical works in a new way and combines it with the ancient sound of creation.
